Justice Served

I've started this blog to try to be a just voice for the people I care about most in the world: those i agree with, those i disagree with, and all those in between. I will call it how I see it and let you decide.

If your wondering where Escalus came from, he was both a poet and character in a Shakespeare play. The name (fr. Latin) literally translates to scale (the worldwide symbol for Justice).

You can find a quote of his on RFK's tombstone in Arlington National Cemetery. RFK himself quoted it during his announcement of Rev. MLK Jr.'s assassination to a crowd in Indianapolis 40 years ago.

"He who learns must suffer, and even as our deep pain that cannot forget
falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will,
comes wisdom to us but by the awful grace of God" - Escalus
